Fun Food!

Some times, children can be a bit picky when it comes to eating.  The most important thing is to make sure the child TRIES everything, but do not force them to eat it.  Now we will talk about getting your child to try things in another post. This post is about making food FUN!  Some times a child will be more likely to eat/try something if it looks fun, or even more so if they are involved in making it!

*Grilled Bulls-eye (IMG)
Cut the center of a slice of bread out.  Place an egg (over easy or scrambled)
in the center and cook on both sides.
*Good ol' ants on a log (IMG)
Cut celery in 3 inch pieces. Fill with cream cheese or peanut butter.
Top with raisins, dried cranberries or mini-chocolate chips.
*Pasta Dogs (IMG)
Slice uncooked hotdogs in 1/2 inch sections.  Poke uncooked pasta noodles into the hot dogs.
Boil noodles and hot dogs together until pasta is done.
*Octopus and Wormies (IMG)
Cook hotdogs thoroughly.  Cut in half.  Cut one half in 8 slices (wormies) cut the other half also in 8 slices,
but not all the way to the top (leave the octopus head in tact!)
